BT report a software upgrade issue is affecting 31,078 broadband connections across the UK on 3rd December.

Service issue

BT are reporting that a software upgrade issue is affecting its ADSL 21CN network, and at last count 31,078 connections are experiencing connection issues and session drops.

Who is affected?

As BT are a broadband infrastructure supplier, both businesses and private users on BT and other broadband suppliers using BT infrastructure can be affected. The issue is not limited to BT customers alone.

Service restoration

This outage is affecting both consumer and business broadband connections, with BT reporting that they’re working to restore service as soon as possible. As yet, no full restoration time has been given due to the number of circuits affected.
