Nomis Connections makes a supportive donation to Ocean Stars Trust – a charity set up to help children and their families in Sri Lanka.

Nomis Connections has made a supportive donation to a very worthy charity – Ocean Stars Trust. The charity was set up in 2005 in response to the tsunami that decimated much of the island; taking the lives of over 30,000 people in Sri Lanka alone. Now, the charity helps the children of Sri Lanka, and their families, to rebuild their lives.

Ocean Stars has projects set up across the island focusing on schooling, livelihood projects, and taking care of vulnerable and orphaned children.

Recently, Ocean Stars have also received help of a different kind from Calthorpe Park, a local school in Fleet, who sent a party of teachers and students out to Sri Lanka on 24th October. There, the Calthorpe Park party will join up with other volunteers and members of the Ocean Stars Trust to help with their valuable work.

It's a great honour for us to be able to help Ocean Stars Trust with the excellent work they do to improve the lives of all they help. We also wish the party from Calthorpe Park School every success in their journey.
