The life expectancy of your cabling infrastructure is far greater than any hardware connected to it, so a network that is well designed, properly installed, and backed by a manufacturer's warranty, is the only way to protect your investment in business communications.
If you are considering moving premises, we may be able to move your system at the same time. We will handle BT liaison on your behalf and provide the cabling system. We also work closely with partners who can help you with office layout and furniture if required.

Things to consider when you move office:

  • It takes from 4-6 weeks for BT to install new lines.
  • Orders can be placed and, as long as BT does not actually install the equipment, appointments can be postponed or cancelled.
  • The cost per line, analogue or ISDN digital, is roughly £100.
  • You may need a new telephone number; this cannot be guaranteed until it has been connected to your telephone system.
  • BT can redirect your calls, however you pay a line rental plus the cost to divert from your old office to new, or they can put a message on advising the number change.
  • Is the computer and telephone wiring up to date and are the points in the same place that your desks will be?
  • Decide on a location for all communications equipment and BT lines.
  • Are there enough points to allow expansion?
  • If you have a broadband line, you must install a new line two weeks before you move to guarantee that you have email and web access when you move in.
  • If you are relocating your existing telephone system, will it require reprogramming to meet the new requirements?
  • Most companies use the move as a time to evaluate whether the current telephone system will meet future requirements, both physically and technically. Does it support VoIP for remote workers, Computer Telephony, Voice Mail, Direct Dial etc?
